- ADRAKOS
Once upon a time there was a man great in body and soul!! ADRAKOS. He was brave, openhearted, protective and with a great sense of honor “Filotimos” as we say in Greek. This man, saw a piece of land in the hills of Elounda and he knew it was “His land”. It was the place where his sheep and goats could find their food during the winter and he knew it was his place to contemplate the meaning of life and soul. That man was the great great grandfather of Menegakis family, the owners of Adrakos Apts. He was and is our insiration.
These precious features of Adrakos formed the intention on which this residence was built.
- FILOXENIA
People of Adrakos love people first of all. We have a deepest need to make our guests feel, happy, secure, comfortable, inspired.
We love tradition because that made us what we are. We follow the unwritten rules of hospitality and “Filoxenia”. Αs reverently as if our ancestors were watching and judging us in our every move
We feel lucky every single day that we were allowed to call “work” something that is some people dream. Open place with an endless view of our precious sea and of the famous in the history of tourism “Gulf of Elounda”. An elevation that offers us that precious breeze, during the hot days of the Cretan summer.

Food is very important in the Cretan civility. It is a way to show your intentions and that you’re caring. “ Peskesi” the Cretan gift was including goodies, fruits, nuts and anything tasty that the one could offer to his neighbors. That was happening almost every day with a great willing of sharing. Our “ Peskesi” is waiting for you in your room.

One of the biggest advantages of staying at Andrakos Apartments is the possibility to enjoy authentic Cretan flavors from our wood oven. Our culinary tradition is based on local, fresh ingredients and traditional recipes passed down from generation to generation. The aroma of freshly baked bread and the flavors of our traditional foods will take you back in time and to our place.
